Paper instructions:

-    The title marks this out as a promising and significant project. You could consider combining these concepts/terms and also making it more focused (e.g. is polypharmacy going to be a principal focus for your project).
-    The research question is interesting. Core terms like ‘appropriateness’ need considering and clear definition.
-    Much of the material you include under ‘study type’ should be in the background. A systematic review seems like an appropriate method.
-    The background contains a lot of information and ideas. In the next draft you could combine this material with that in the ‘study type’ and develop some clear and specific paragraphs. Within this, can you clarify the core constructs and relationships you want to identify?
-    The methods are promising. Building on the work of systematic reviews in similar areas will be helpful in exploring search terms etc.

Questions We Can Help You To Answer

Paper Instructions:

  1. The skin is our largest organ and certainly our first line of defense.  It offers many protections.  It is where the first signs of aging begin - wrinkles.  However, no one has ever died from old skin.  Nonetheless in a youth oriented society, aging skin can cause distress among many.  There are numerous products and procedures to "turn back the hands of time".  Consider this as you respond to the following question.

You have a friend who is not an older adult, but is concerned about the health and appearance of her skin as she ages.  What information can you provide to her about skin health? What advice can you provide her about skin protection?  What would you say to address her concern about her wrinkles and her appearance? Why do you think Americans are concerned with outward signs of aging, most of which are relatively harmless? Is this a positive or negative trend?

Aging results in musculoskeletal system changes. As people age their skeletal systems undergo various changes which affect their activities of daily living and their overall health.  Some bone loss after age 35 is normal in both men and women and causes no problem.  Severe bone depletion is termed osteoporosis. Consider this information when responding to the following question

Doctors advise people that to reduce their risk of osteoporosis later in life, they should build up their bones as much as possible before they reach maturity. What would you suggest to patients (or friends) to strengthen their bones? Are you doing anything special to reduce your risk to osteoporosis in later life? If so what? If not, why not? What health promotions programs do you think might be effective in maintaining a healthy musculoskeletal system?  Be specific.

Questions We Can Help You To Answer

Paper instructions:

Using the below outline (SEE below) in up to 500 words , provide a presumptive analysis regarding potential impacts that might apply to the recommendations in your Acute Care Health Policy Proposal. Use evidence-based research to cite specific examples and provide rationale regarding the criteria below:
1.    Impact on costs (e.g., reduced, increased, mixed, no change)
2.    Changes in access to care (e.g., providers, facilities, interventions)
3.    Quality of care issues (e.g., improved, diminished, mixed, no change)

Outline:
Proposal subject:
Congest heart failure patient and the readmission in 30 days. What we can do to reduce the readmissions and prolong life out of the hospital?
The mortality and readmission rates of congestive heart failure (CHF) patients in the United States and the world in general, have caused alarm and need to be addressed as an urgent matter. According to Gosselin et al. (2014), in an observation supported by Banoff et al. (2016), about fifty percent of the people suffering from CHF dies within five years after being diagnosis while about thirty percent get readmitted to the hospital in 30-180 days after discharge. Such readmissions and deaths are very costly to both the government, hospitals and the individual families involved. Specifically, the readmissions come with extra costs to the hospitals, and patients might not make it out of the hospitals. This in its turn have been addressed by the government and its regulation departments, The Medicaid and Medicare. To address this issue, the current proposal recommends educating patients and healthcare providers on best practices towards reducing readmission rates, hence reducing healthcare cost. If the patient is unable to understand teaching, the patient’s relatives can be taught on how to care for the patient at home as well as how to recognize signs and symptoms when it is time to contact the primary care physician. Health workers will be taught on doing follow up care over the phone and physically, assessing patients comprehensively to rule out unnecessary readmissions, and teaching relatives on how to care for the patients.
