Marketing Plan for Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, Radiology Department. Website: www.MSMC.com

A marketing plan is like a case analysis, what would you do from your managerial perspective to grow or change a product, market or service.  It looks at where we are now (environmental and competitive scanning).  Where do we go (goals and strategies from problems and opportunities or swot).  How do we get there (four p tactics).  Marketing plans (one year) are off shoots of business plans (three year mission/vision driven and more concerned with financial and human or capital resources).  We will discuss more at our live chat(s).  Plans should be proactive and reactive to market dynamic changes.  We can't control the environmental forces (technology, economy, etc), but we tweak our four p's to combat.

Your tactics should be quantifiable and quantifiable ie do what where and when for how much.  Your trends should be what is going on in your industry/economy, etc.  Competition needs to be thorough ie their products, markets, pricing, etc. Make sure and provide good stats and research for the market demographics.  We also like to use charts, graphs, swots in marketing.  I am okay with this being a power point vs a paper, so long as content is there and you follow my outline.  There are many examples on the web and in your text--they all follow the same outline format of gathering information and then making analytical decisions and ideas.  I suggest something in healthcare you know or want to work for--keep it simple your first go at this.

I will post two examples under doc sharing of past student work that were good enough marketing plans to share.  What I don't want in return is exactly the same plan turned into your topic.  A marketing plan is your creative ideas and YOUR SPECIFIC research, as well as YOUR managerial recommendations.  What I am not sharing is the grade they received nor where they could have enhanced the plan--I will tell you they were not perfect grades, but good starts.  These are being shared for benchmark purposes because I hear your pain in creating a marketing plan.  Hope they help--open for discussion...Here to help get you through the plan!

Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer

Let us explore the differences between financial and managerial accounting. Financial accounting is rule-oriented, since the information is used to communicate with third parties. Managerial accounting, on the other hand, is for internal use. Anything goes as long as the information is a valuable tool for decision-making purposes, and the benefit of the information exceeds the cost of accumulating and analyzing it.

Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer:

In marketing as in other aspects of business, it is critical that professionals make sure to act in an ethical manner both legally and socially. In this age of interconnectedness, one unethical move can become an Internet video or comment that spreads rapidly, not just locally but potentially throughout the world. From a marketing standpoint, it is critical to take into account the impact of an organization’s decisions on other people and the environment.

However, how you communicate the expected conduct required in a business is as important as the ethical expectations themselves. Most companies have a written Code of Conduct as well as other corporate statements that communicate the expected behavior and values of the firm.

In this Assignment, you will engage in the development of the following professional competencies:

•Make ethical decisions and solve problems

•Written Communication

In this Assignment you will read the Cengage® Case Study: "Barclays Bank: Banking on Ethics" and then respond to the checklist items in a critical essay based on a scenario.

● Did Barclays Bank neglect social responsibility? What could they have done to be more socially responsible?
● What actions regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) could Barclays have engaged in after the scandal broke to set things right and ensure that such an event would not happen again?
● Describe what level of morality would have been demonstrated if executives at Barclays asked themselves, “Even though manipulating the LIBOR will increase company profits, is it the right thing to do in the long run?”
● Explain the importance of ethics and social responsibility in marketing as a result of your case study analysis.

However, what may be acceptable in one culture could actually be offensive in another. What works well in one society may fail dismally in another. Simple issues like phrases, gestures, or colors can be problematic.    ·

Assess how the global communications you will utilize for the countries you selected (Japan and Germany) in the Module Six discussion potentially differ from a similar version that would be utilized in the United States.  ·

Illustrate with examples, explaining how they are consistent with the overall integrated marketing strategy.

Guidelines for Submission: Double-spaced Word document, with 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and APA format. Page length requirements: 2–3 pages, not including title page and references.

Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer;

You need to address two of the following three case studies. You should demonstrate that you understand and can apply the general guidelines and codes of ethics and show your ability to use that knowledge to critically think about an ethical issue. You should start by clearly stating what you think is the ethical course of action and then present your argument for why you came to that conclusion. Your response should show that you’ve considered multiple sides to the issue. Try to anticipate at least one point that someone with a different position from your own might make, and then respond that argument.

1. A new website has started operating in Canada that scans Internet chat rooms looking for men who can be lured into sexually explicit conversations with invented underage correspondents. The website, Catching-The-Pervs, posts the men’s pictures on its Web site. You learn that the actions by the people who run the website have just led to a man in London being arrested yesterday. He will be in court tomorrow to face charges. You are the crime reporter at the London Free Press. Should your newspaper cover the story? Is it ethical to use such a sting tactic? Should you indirectly support the agenda of an advocacy group even if it’s an agenda as worthy as this one? How much of the story and the details would you reveal in your article for the London Free Press? Would you treat the story differently online than in your printed edition? Why or why not?
Would it be different if a team at your newspaper had conducted the sting on your own? That is, that you had gone into the internet chat rooms and lured the perpetrator in to meeting your fake identity of being an 11-year old boy.
Would it make a difference if the man was a school principle or a construction worker? If so, why and how would it change how you’d handle the story?

2. You are the Editor-in-Chief of a struggling newspaper that has published a story on a national study, which concluded that bottled water has virtually no health advantages over the tap water in most cities, including your own. The story in your newspaper included comments from local health store owners and water distributors challenging the findings of the study and defending the
benefits of bottled water. The story also included comments from the person who led the study, and from an environmentalist who argues that not only is bottled water a waste of money for consumers, but it also takes a significantly negative toll on the environment. The Clean and Delicious Bottled Water Company spends $100,000 a-year advertising in your newspaper. The
company has threatened to pull its account with your newspaper unless you run another story of equal prominence, focusing on the benefits of bottled water.
What should you do?  Explain your reasoning.

3. Black face ethics
You are the Editor-in-Chief at the London Free Press and someone send you a copy of an Instagram post of a white London police officer painted brown and dressed in what appears to be traditional African wear. The post begins by showing London police Constable Carol Poulton in uniform. You can see
her name-tag in the picture. The Instagram post then shows Poulton
getting her hair and body painted brown. The final photo looks like this: Poulton is identified as the person on the left. This all comes at a time when London Police face a series of public relation challenges. Police were criticized a few months ago over how they released information about assaults on women that might protect others. After media coverage and pressure from women’s agencies, police agreed to review policies on releasing information. And, after a critical story published by the London Free Press recently, London police vowed
greater transparency in dealing with charges against its own officers. The Instagram account that the pictures were posted on is public. It belongs to Poulton’s sister-in-law and doesn’t seem to be critical of Poulton in any way. The person who emailed you the copy of the Instagram post says t
his a clear example of racism within the London Police Services. What would you do with this picture? Is this news? Should it be reported? Would it influence
your decision if the blackface picture had been taken many years before Poulton had become a police officer? Why or why not? What ethical considerations are there with this story and how would you address them?

LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Define contemporary print processes, and how they are used.

2. Analyze the relationship between how a printed item appears, how it was made, and what it is trying to communicate.

3. Show an understanding of how print processes are intertwined with social, cultural, and economic forces.

PROJECT OUTLINE

The purpose of a case study is to use your research to come up with a well developed opinion on a particular topic, and use your design skills to present it in a combination of words and pictures. The goal is to be concise and clear.

Your case study must answer these questions:

Product – what object are you looking at?

Structure/Material - how is it made? what is it made of?

Context - where is this seen? What does the place where it will be seen require the product to do?

Intent/Purpose - Why was it made the way that it was made? Does the form of the object say something about the company that made it, and about the people they want to buy it?

Sources – where are you getting your information from?

Use a combination of words and pictures. Aim for up to about 5 pages of material and at most 500-700 words, but don't use more words than you need. Use an MLA citations list for your Sources. You can create this using http://www.citethisforme.com (Links to an external site.) and selecting MLA as the citation style.

GUIDELINES

As it’s a pdf digital submission, you’re free to work in full colour, but save your pdf for screen viewing only – there’s no need for the additional resolution in a print-ready pdf. Format and page size is up to you, as long as it’s easily readable on screen.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Craft: Presentation, design, and clear concise writing. (7/20)

Concept: Show a good understanding of the subject and a sound analysis. (10/20)

Citation: List good source material, and cite it properly. (3/20)
