Please include Human Resources in the paper. I have attached the draft that the professor chopped.

Your paper is supposed to include about 75 percent on human resources and 25 percent on general management issues.  I recommend you add some more discussion on human resources.  If you comply with the comments below in Item 3, you should be able to do that.

Some of your paper seems to have been taken from other sources.  When you use someone else’s words, you are supposed to use quotation marks.

On March 21, I published a memo that provided a list of human resources topics that your paper is supposed to address.  The content of that memo is below.  You have provided a discussion of some ACF human resources tasks, but you have not addressed several HR tasks that are on the list.  I want you to explain which of these activities are handled by the ACF Human Resources Department and how they handle them.

Subject: Typical HR Tasks

What topics are included in the work of HR Departments?  Based on the Greeting Letter, Syllabus, and Example Materials for Research Papers, you will be writing a Word Outline and Sentence Outline during the first half of the course, even though we will not finish the textbook until week 7 or 8.  That means you may not know until late in the course about some of the HR topics that must be covered in your research project.  To fill in this gap, I am providing a list of functions that are usually handled by an organization’s HR Department.  Not all HR Departments handle all of these functions, but most HR Departments handle most of these functions.  When you are doing research on the organization you have selected, you should try to learn how they handle each of the following functions, and you should try to discuss each of these topics in your Word Outline, Sentence Outline, Draft Full Text, and final Report.  For example, in your Final Report, you might say, “Recruiting.  The XYZ Charity organization needs to recruit an average of five persons per year.  The methods they use to accomplish that Include:  social media advertising, referrals from current employees, and letters sent to local colleges that operate human services programs.”  Here is the list of HR tasks.

Recruiting (attracting employees and hiring them)
Termination of employees (firing for cause, and lay-off when the work load has shrunk or revenues have dropped)
Retention (maintaining the workforce)
Employee records
Compensation (salary, bonus, stock options, and other cash items)
Payroll
Benefits (vacation, sick pay, life insurance, health care insurance, pensions and retirement plans, wellness programs, food service and other non-cash items)
Training and development
Health and safety
Security
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission concerns (diversity)
Compliance with employment laws
Labor relations (if the organization is unionized)
Strategic planning
Policies and procedures (employee handbook)
Performance appraisal and performance management

You are a Human Resources Manager for Green Branch Coffee, a national chain of urban-style coffee shops. Employees need to work with the human resources (HR) department to ensure a fair, safe, and legal workplace. In this discussion, you will explore the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The FMLA provides time off for employees so they can deal with a serious medical condition of their own or one of a family member. Employees in companies such as Green Branch Coffee that have at least 50 employees are generally eligible for FMLA. Please review the Employee's Guide to FMLA from the U.S. Department of Labor, and discuss the following:

What is the process of requesting FMLA leave?
What are some examples of how the FMLA provides employees with job protection during their FMLA leave?
What are some of the responsibilities that employees have during their FMLA leave?

Begin your presentation by briefly describing the role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Then, for each of the Acts listed below, provide a summary of the Act, an example from a real company of how the Act was violated, and what a Green Branch Coffee manager can do to ensure compliance with the Act.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

The world of construction management in comparison to business standpoints; reflect upon ethical, logical, and exponential values acquired

paragraph 1: being able to prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables

p2: process of hiring or selecting substantial laborers and subcontractors

p3: how to comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations

p4: Collaborating with architects, engineers and other construction and building specialists

p5: how to select construction methods and strategies

p6: instruct and supervise construction personel and activities on site

p7: respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies

other notes: This assignment brings together everything we have been studying in this course, from grammar and citation skills to finding reputable sources to crafting a scholarly argument.  It asks you to present a sustained, nuanced interpretation of a given topic supported by reliable (primarily peer-reviewed) evidence.

Please make sure your essay contains the following elements:

A clear thesis statement, no longer than two sentences, that concisely states the argument of your essay.  Thesis statements should provide a “roadmap” to your argument.  A good thesis is debatable (reasonable people can differ), complex (bringing in multiple elements), and well-developed (incorporating specific assertions).
Well-structured body paragraphs that incorporate evidence from multiple reliable sources.  Transitions between and within paragraphs should be fluid and clear.
Grammatical prose in Standard English.  Please avoid the use of contractions and other informal linguistic elements.
In-text and end (Works Cited / References) citations that are properly formatted according to the style guide used by your discipline.  At least two-thirds of the sources you use should be peer-reviewed.  (I have a list of the citation style each student is using, and will be evaluating your citations based on the listed style.  If you have changed the citation style you are using since the Citation Quiz, please email me to ensure that I have the correct style listed in my database.)  If you are using MLA, you must select either 7 or 8 and be consistent throughout the assignment.
Essays should be no less than three thousand words long, not counting the Works Cited page, and formatted as specified in the syllabus under “Essay Assignments and Presentation”—even if that is different from what your style guide would normally require.  (For example, even though APA asks you to have a title page and a running header, I do not want you to use either of those elements in this assignment, as they contradict the course style.)

We will workshop the first rough draft of the essay in class on Friday, April 14 in Cherry Hall 15.  In addition to sharing your work with your workshop group, you may earn extra credit by handing in a printed copy of your rough draft to me at the beginning of class.  If you do so, I will award you extra credit as follows:  three points per (double-spaced) page of rough draft; two points per page of detailed outline; and one point per page of general notes.  You will then have time to meet with me and revise your essay before the second workshop date on Monday, April 24, also in Cherry Hall 15.  Handing in a completed rough draft by April 24 is required; points will be deducted from your final grade on the assignment if you do not do so.

Final drafts are due in class and on Blackboard on the last day of class, which is Friday, May 6.  I will deduct fifteen points per day if an essay is late.  I will not accept any essays after midnight on Wednesday, May 10, regardless of circumstances.

You are a real management consultant who is being paid to do an investigation and produce a report with recommendations to the CEO.
You need to do several things in order to present your recommendations.

Present to the CEO your
1. method of analysis of the problems (i.e. your approach)
2. present your view on what is actually going on, based on your analysis.

In your “approach” to the assignment, you need to mention, briefly, who you interviewed and the results.

The findings should, in very clear but BRIEF terms, be in relation to the organisational culture, and also the issues about power/influence, especially in relation to the HR manager. On the basis of these findings, you need to analyse the information you have collected, and then you need to shape the recommendations to provide to the CEO on how to improve the situation and change the culture.

The Business Case must focus on the desired outcomes (what needs to be achieved). The business case is a description of what you proposed, what it will cost, compared to the benefits it will yield. The costs associated with your business case does not need to be accurate; you can use your imagination and make some assumptions here. Important point: you should include the business case as an appendix. You talk about the business case in the body of the assignment but the detailed information (the change process, the cost and benefit) should be included as an appendix.

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you:

1.Construct a Cost-Benefit Analysis matrix for an organization that is considering replacing its internal payroll system with a payroll outsourcing service. Include direct and indirect revenue enhancements and direct and indirect cost reductions.

3.Compose the tasks that would be needed to complete a Gantt chart (project schedule) for outsourcing the company’s payroll system. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of using a Gantt chart versus using the Performance evaluation and review technique (PERT) and critical path method (CPM) when managing projects.
4.Propose three (3) types of feedback loops the project management team can implement so that potential users of the new payroll system can provide advice, suggestions, and guidance to the team during project development and implementation. Suggest how the project management team can filter out irrelevant information and target critical information provided by potential users of the new system.
5.Suggest three (3) types of behavioral problems that employees can manifest as a result of replacing the organization’s legacy payroll system with an outsourced solution. Compose three (3) guidelines that a project manager can use to mitigate employee resistance to change.
6.Use at least four (4) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.
Your assignment must follow these formatting guidelines:

•Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
