Symphony Orchestra Gala Concert

 People from all walks of life attended the concert. The delightful evening full of performing artists was unforgettable and the music palatable. The event brought together two orchestras for dual musical performance. Moreover, sharing an in-depth musical custom and launching new music meant for future generations marked the occasion. The orchestras showcased talent and love for classical music (Symphony Orchestra). No matter the place, the mood was outstanding and appreciated. The concert's live performance comprised of a video recorder, flutes, violins, cellos, and even harpsichords. The two orchestras performed as per the time allocated and this might have nearly destroyed the quality of the music as each one of the musicians rushed to complete the sets. One of the German composers was the leading performers during the preeminence German music era. Thus the orchestras had a different musical background which they fused to create formidable beautiful music. One of the most memorable time during the concert was during the Quartet's performance in G major. The Quartet integrated an assortment which later distinguished as a classical minuet.

Both the motions were three-way in designs, enclosing two contrasting subsections motions, one serving the other. The initial portion shoulders a largo-allegro-largo design, while the following motion, vivace-moderato-vivace hence generation of reversing sound within the units. The last section of the music was a short switch and led hooked onto the vivace gigue which emerges from the normal dance suite, but repeatedly, created the last sonata measure. This piece was beautifully played. The equilibrium between the ensembles within the confines of the theatre venue was perfectly tuned to suit the performance needs hence there was no need for rehearsals. Telemann’s organized synchronizations were flawless and neatly performed. The entire musical presentation on the unique instruments enhanced the sound and the entire performance was great. Some of the music performed was initially written and recorded on the violin while the rest were later recomposed with other musical accompaniments. This gave all the performances a tangible connection with the original composers of the music.

 The heaviest part of the performance was led soon after the intermission so they can set the motion for the enormous proportions. This lasted for at least one hour.  Nevertheless, orchestra performances are not supposed to hinder the great sound and times of the entire performance. The people have to blend in with the music and generate a new mood based on the performance. The first arrangement features continuous notes motifs in woodwinds and lyrical forms within the string sections randomly changing key rhythms. More so, the tonal sagacity of each part was strong hence the connectivity. The motions were rather calm at some point and refreshing even though it comprised of intricate orchestration together with numerous drumming instrumentation and many other parts designated for the wind instrumentation. The second motions consisted of neatly organized to suit the talents available and bring out the tunes and the anticipated music. This part of the concert was rather tense and incorporated classical scherzo to make the sound more melodic line. Consequently, this made it hard to follow instrumentation and the horn beginning initiated by the violins which begin every poetic passage. Most of the times, the sound was slow but changed abruptly using tempos and dynamics coupled with a sudden termination hence the manifestation of scherzo characteristics. The harmonious melody and the timely ending to each part of the music was memorable and increased the eagerness of the crowd. Creating good music and giving people the chance to enjoy every bit of it is what makes an orchestra memorable moment. Thus at the end of every note each music instrument had to be used for version creation.  The lead pianist performed sweet symphony before other musicians could be ushered in other performing artists. His performance was brief but beautiful. Some attenders complained that the budget was cut hence the reason for the short performance during the event. Nevertheless, the event took place amid controversial musical samples from some acknowledged classical themes. The second artist who was to set the mood struggled to make up a classic symphony from movies and sitcoms from the 1950s. The 52-minute long music came across as bendy and flat despite the jumpy background beat. The performance of the music was intense and lead to applause for the job well-done. The symphony ushers in a firm assertion within the low string and brass which triggers infernal depths and thus the audience can later catch up with it, making it more entertaining. A subtle and heartfelt episode portrays the grief-stricken singings of the impious musicians trapped in a never-ending whirlwind. The ferocity returns and shapes the tune into a crushing climax which the lead singer drove into an intense pitch and melody. The entire bounces of the thoughtful beat motions are delicate and mystic, sprinkled with choir openings and grimly diligent fugue. The symphony comes to a halt celestially accompanied with an affectionate background of clustered lines from Magnificat, carefully composed song and sang by university students’ choir. Generally, all artists were talented and fun to listen to as they composed their best works. The concert was a grand gesture of the underlying fundamentals of music. For the most part of it, the musicians mastered their skills and crafted a good performance for their market niche. For one of the most memorable moments, was the musicians relied on musical instruments without backup from digital sounds hence the melody produced was authentic and just. In order to concentrate on the music reverberating in the background, the performing musicians only relied on speakers and soulfully background musicians. The printed program gave the attendants the ancient background of the composers, assortments, and the bios of each musician were displayed on the screen for the audience to see before any performance could commence. The information contributed to the comprehension and appreciation of the musicians. The ability to bring together musicians from different backgrounds. The concert ensured that all the musicians played professionally even though they were having enjoying themselves at the same time. These incorporations made the concert enjoyable even to revelers who do not like orchestra performances.

The second phase was about animal creation and the third part entailed human beings. The precise manipulations of the orchestra are some of the underlying reasons for dividing the event into sections based on the performance. From the vivid light instances to the flamboyant representations of animals, these instants were reliant on the innovative orchestra’s status. The performers’ capability to manage their instrumental forces so distinctly replicated the amalgamation of the contemporary orchestra as a notion, institution, and music entity. The creation as a marking point for the exploration of the dynamic. The third part of the performance was the introduction also known as the representation of chaos. Philip swan conducted the orchestra. It is considered as one of the most carefully crafted masterpieces. The soloist was also the one who sang the soprano part of the song. In terms of the structure, the orchestra was organized in three phases. The first one was the creation of the world and everything in it. Alterations of music and musical dialogue from a point of the composition. The sudden change in instrumentation, the applause, the flexibility of the musicians as they moved from one stage to the next in preparation of the next set was interesting. The scenarios, previously grouped in two acts, were designed from a fusion of Russian and German story tales. Thus, the work of the choreographers was ensuring that the original productions were up to scale and depicted the storylines in relevance to the ancient themes. The music was presented in different versions for the sake of keeping up the myriad of staging demands. The inclusion of art, dishes, and ballet made the entire event worth it. The switches, the music, the serene encounter with various musical prowess was one of the ways of stealing the audience's attention and retaining it for some time hence some of the parts were not as interesting but at least bearable. Similarities and Differences of the Twelve Dancing Princesses to Traditional Folklore

   Introduction         

In this assignment, I will analyze the similarities and differences in the Twelve Dancing Princesses fairytale to the traditional folklore. The tale written by the Brothers Grimm is about twelve beautiful princesses who someway managed to sneak out of their bedrooms every night to go dancing without their father's knowledge. The king only realized about this secret scheme by the daughters worn out dancing shoes. When questioned, they denied it. The king grew desperate every day and enlisted help from potential suitors to reveal the mystery. An elderly, wounded soldier solves the problem. With the help of an old lady, who gives him a special cloak, he finally unveils the daughter's secret and is given the oldest one as a suitor.

 

Similarities to traditional folklore

 Traditional folklore is the forebear of modern adult and children literature. They encompass stories that commence from the oral tradition and told down for ages. Originally, this tale was narrated down generations in Germany as a way of passing on culture, history, and beliefs. Currently, it is now shared throughout the world and in different languages. Traditional tales capture the history of people living at a particular place and time (Harlow, 10). Germany abolished the kingdom dynasties in the early 20th century. From the tale, we assume that the storyline was most likely created around that time. Another popular concept with the traditional folklore is that they shed light on values and inspirations. Despite the king ensuring that the princesses were well locked in at night, they still found a way of sneaking out to the underground castle. It reflects on the importance of respect to our elders and that truth prevails at last.

 

         In traditional tales, the youngest, weak, or wounded individual eventually becomes the hero (Leppälahti, 29). From the tale, the youngest daughter doubts were always dismissed, especially by the oldest princess. Noticeably, the aged poor soldier solved the issue and became the future king.  Traditional tales are great sources of entertainment; the flow on how the princesses used to sneak out every night arouses our imagination and makes us reflect on the beautiful glittering dresses worn in that era, pleasant music, and dancing with princes all night. Their short intro which mostly starts, 'Once upon a time' is captivating to the audience too.

 

Differences from traditional folklore

Modern fantasy stories are purely imaginary. They contain creatures, individuals, and sometimes settings that do not exist. The folklore shares this characteristic. The underground castle with gold, silver, and diamond trees is unreal. This fictional aspect is also evident when the aged soldier is given the enchanted cloak that made him disappear. Modern tales also connect with their audience through the past to present culture (Leppälahti, 29). The daughters going against their father and disappearing at night is equivalent to what is happening in our society today.  Parents, and especially those with young adults, are going through similar struggles to maintain morals in their children.

 

 

 

Conclusion

Over the years, the folklore genre has diversified in great lengths. The traditional and fantasy tales have great significance in adult and children literature. They symbolize a way of passing on culture, values and are a source of entertainment. Despite the simplicity, basic plots, and themes in traditional tales, it remains the basis of all folklore. Fantasy stories are a product of this revolution.
