Andrea Del Verrocchio and Leonardo Davinci

Andrea Del Verrocchio and Leonardo Davinci

Leonardo as a boy was an artist who was avid. His talent ad been recognized by his own dad when he was still young as he was involved in studio work and he was well aware of the art market in Florence since he was a clergy (Da Vinci, 2016). Similarly, Andrea Del Verrocchio was a goldsmith, sculptor and a painter in Florence. This is similar to Leonardo who was a master of arts in Florence and was involved in significant artists work contribution. Leonardo was able to receive great skills as he was learning under a skilled teacher and artist who were known as Donatello. Leonardo acquired all sorts of arts training genres in the exemption of large wall frescoes and murals.

Leonardo’s drawings were mostly influenced by the fact that during that period Florence was under transformation and so many events were taking place. This, therefore, motivated and generated more ideas for his arts which were mainly based on nature. During the golden age, he spent most of the time in the society with frequent attendance of festivals that were held publicly by De Medici who was the ruler at the time (Bramly, 2014). AndreeDel’s main art was the Bartolommeo Colleoni statue which was raised in 1949 in Venice which huge significance. This, therefore, shows that both artist works was based on nature of the things that were surrounding them in Florence.  Both Andrea Del and Leonardo were additionally under the same master Donatello who was the greatest sculptor.

In addition, both Andrea Del and Leonardo were involved in few provision of artwork outside Florence. This, therefore, demonstrates their commitment and focus on flounce were nature had taken control of their art development. The earliest established drawing of Leonardo was derived from the day of a feast (Bramly, 2014). This is illustrated using a landscape which clearly demonstrates his thoughts and view and that particular period.  Leonardo is thought be have been roaming around the countryside whole the town was covered by the noise of the celebrations.  The picture stands out all criticism because of its calling attention to botanic and geologic details that it offers about the countryside. In correspondence, Andrea Del’s arts challenges criticism because of it the basis on reality.

Most of the early work of Leonardo is presented in a way that is collaborative in reference to nature (Da Vinci, 2016). This is because, during the period of renaissance, artwork was normally done by individual groups of artists which were receiving directions from the master.  Correspondingly Andrea Del’s early work was presented in a nature collaboration of the renaissance period Leonardo was initially known for his great contribution to one of the master’s arts which are the Verrocchio’s Christ baptism.  Almost all the involved critics are in agreement that Leonardo was involved in the painting of the angel on the left. The angel’s face, as well as the hair, holds graceful and light quality in comparison of all the other figures that are portrayed in the painting (Da Vinci, 2016). He was additionally responsible for the paintings background which is not well agreed with.

The reputation of Andrea Del Verrocchio stands high although his work has been altered by foreign designs.  His arts depicting nature cannot be ignored even in the modern society for its huge contribution. His work similarly to that of Leonardo was the representation of arrangements that were scenography into a representation that is dramatic in its nature composition (Da Vinci, 2016). Both artists were involved in religious contribution because their artwork is utilized as a symbol in most religion and especially by Christians. This is given that Andrea Del was involved in the painting of Christ’s baptism and Leonardo painted the angel on the left.  Their artworks are the most significant as they both represented the renaissance in their status (Da Vinci, 2016).         Both artists work is contrived with huge modeled and technical assurance with sensitivity and power as it creates a climax that is fitting to the art career of Andrea Del and Leonard Verrocchio. Leonardo’s work was so great that when he made the drawing of the angel his initial biographer swore not to be involved in paintings again as he felt the shame of Leonardo’s ability (Da Vinci, 2016). However, the more probable explanation for this was mainly to allow Leonardo to take over Verrocchio’s paintings by focusing on his individualized sculpture work (Da Vinci, 2016). This is supported by the fact that after a short time period Leonardo was able to work on his own work which included the annunciation work. This was similar to Andrea Del’s work whose contribution surprised most of the established artists.

Most of the critics are clear to maintain that Leonardo was fully responsible for the annunciation of vista’s background. Similarly to Leonardo Andrea Del was the master of significant Florence workshop (Da Vinci, 2016). He gained the nickname of the true eye because of his great paintings and a tribute was provided to him due to his achievements in artistic. In another similar way with Leonardo, Andrea Del’s is attributed to few paintings because most of the paintings hold no certainty of his contribution. However, both artists are well accepted as paintings masters and their paintings are regarded as masterpieces due to their great significant to the society.

Moreover, both Leonardo and Andrea Del’s paintings are well accepted in the modern society because they are utilized as religious and cultural symbols. For instance, the painting of the angel by Leonardo is used as a religious symbol which is mainly appreciated by the society today (Da Vinci, 2016). Their paints have thus been able to overcome modernity as they are based on things that are never changing in nature.  This clearly shows the general power that is held by the artwork from both artists.

I chose to compare both Andrea Del Verrocchio and Leonardo DaVinci artists’ work because they were both responsible for major arts and they both worked in Florence. In addition, the artists held great influence on younger individuals who were artists at their working period and their influence is termed as enormous. This, therefore, interests me because of their growing urge to help younger individuals to grow their art talents. Both artists’ were able to influence the weak generation of painters who were soon able to become stronger artists. For instance, Leonardo is the one who is responsible for vista background in the annunciation as well as the great painting of the angel. This is argued so because of the presence of sleeves that is on the angles paintings which are similar to those that are seen in all his notebooks. Both artists held the realistic nature in their paints as their drawings reflect the realism of the surrounding which is simply attributed to the both geniuses. This is in particular with the view of Leonardo’s interest in flying birds.  Despite the growing criticism on the artists’ work, their work is able to stand because of its nature. Their arts are characterized by the reality that is provided by nature which is a rare thing with most of the arts.  Last their work interests me because it is based on nature which makes it easy for individuals to accept and interpret the intended message correctly.
