Extended Concert Review

  • Extended Concert Review
  •             I have always wanted to know what happens inside those large buildings ergo my predicate to attend a classical music concert. With music taking immense turns from what it used to be in the past, I was shocked to realize about the significance changes in classical music. My dreams to a full-blown classical concert are far from reality though I figured the school musical club orchestra would suffice. The first thing I realized was the violins an obvious instrument to the classical genre. There was a league of drums, brass plates and the king of fundamentals on the piano.
  •              The artists present in the concert performed a variety of music genres from symphonies to instrumental pieces all of various artists. Musical instruments incorporated in the pieces included the piano, an instrument that was incorporated at most of the pieces. The violin also played a big part in the overall performance. Other instruments included the bowed strings, woodwind, and the guitar. Like all classical music, the singers are never the composers. The songs performed by the group were from renowned composers such as the well-acclaimed Beethoven, Purcell, Kempff and lacrosse trio. They played a number of songs in the concert, about 20 songs to be precise. I have always been a fan of the classical alleluia since my childhood. It was a surprise to me when the artists played this type of classic music.
  •             The song has a numerous number of remakes so it was to my pleasure to listen the song during the concert. Starting with a soft stretched piano chord blended with a complementing violin harmonic the outcome was epic. The combined implementation of all tones of voices with the tenors and sopranos taking the chorus created the perfect impression of what it entailed to the composition of classical music. Of the musical compositions that were, performed Kempffs version of the moonlight sonata stood out from the rest on an extra ordinary level. The start was just as good as the finale considering that it was done just as Kempff, who is the original artist of the song, would have done it. The pianist implemented the factors that made kempffs version of the moonlight sonata as special and unique as it was. Many people remember Kempff for being the perfectionist; he was making it very hard to mimic any of his performance.
  •             Factoring the fact that the Beethoven piece was not easy as well, the performer did a remarkable job. A few factors did not coincide like the fact that kempffs version lacked he last movement. The performer induces a fast passed tempo with a lighter texture combining different moods into the same piece. Another performance that caught my attention was that of, “music for a while”, by Henry Purcell. Past records of Purcell will tell you that the man had quite a strong voice. The performance was not up to my standard though I cannot complain, as much considering nobody alive could suffice. The musicians tried to be innovative by adding a few bars to the song. The tempo had been upped a notch and the original acoustic version was now complemented by the guitar and intermittent drum implementations.
  •             The last performance was of a Mozart symphony. The piece was done to expectation with all factors blending in to perfection. The aggregate tone was rich and precise with almost all violins in the premise being used in the song composition. The orchestra at this particular piece complemented the incorporation of various classical instruments. The most notable identity of classical music is the implementation of moments into the overall piece. Moments constitute of the tonal variations in the overall piece of the music. The part moments loud then instantaneously boisterous and later melancholic bring out clearly the factor of the use of moments in the classical piece. A perfect example of comparison was evident from the performance of “ave maria”. The song originally composed by Schubert, portends the perfect implementation of moments. The use of different tonal variations in the song created a mixed reaction of emotions all at the same time. The different moods can be defined as sad and conveniently incorporates an uplifting operatic feeling.
  •             Comparing moments of Ave Maria and alleluia one is able to obtain a distinct characteristic. Alleluia has a more bombastic feel to it as compared to Ave Maria that capitalizes more on emotions. Alleluia divine context and implementation a large orchestra to complement it brings the song out in all regard and perfection. Most of classical music is enigmatic in nature. The actual meaning embedded in the different songs is never if not always easily to deduce. The incorporation of jargon language in the message makes it extremely hard to find out what the song entails on a first impression basis. The concept of illusion is also quite vivid in the composition of classical music. Most of the classical music presented was of religious context considering that aemaria and alleluia are both in relation Christianity. Beethoven piece mirrors the best picture of illusion by setting different moods with the same tempo.
  •              The composition of most of the songs that were played in the concert illustrated that this genre of music is the best that everyone deserves to listen. Classical music being one of the oldest forms of music depicts that most of the artist concentrated in the composition of the music. The most significant difference in composition of the music played during the concert is that some of the artist who wrote depicted that they used different classical styles while writing and composing the sons. Some of them used the baroque styles, others used the classical and there were those who used romantic style.
  •             The songs hold a significant impact to most of the audience including myself. They entail various characteristics that depict how most of the early musicians contributed in the classic music genre. Most of the songs depicted the original composition of the artists involved in writing and making the final strategies of completing the song. The artists managed to concentrate on one particular theme in a single song that depicted how the songwriters were efficient in producing the best of classical music. The concerto in all of the songs provided the evidence that the songs were original made by other artists other than the one who were presenting in the show. The musicians were able to develop a new music relationship with the audience. They were able to concentrate on the keys in order to give the best results in the performance. Listening to the all the classical music songs in the concert was fascinating and I really enjoyed the concert.
