Instructions

Identify a socially relevant problem that you observe in your immediate community and/or in the global community that is not related to your current area of practice and which is traditionally explained from a mentalistic, structuralist, or essentialist perspective. Give an overview, from a radical behaviorist/selectionist reinterpretation and the advantages conferred by a behavioral approach. Describe what type of group effort must occur for the identified problem to improve, how your proposal applies principles of cultural design, and how it would contribute to the design of culture. In addition to supporting your writing with Skinner’s Science and Human Behavior, and Biglan’s Changing Cultural Practices and other assigned readings, identify a minimum of 5 additional peer-reviewed articles that support this as a socially relevant issue that applies to a significant percentage of the population and supports your proposal for addressing the problem given what you have read in this course on cultural design. Your paper should be written in APA format, be no more than 8-10 pages in length, including a cover page and reference section.

Paper is due 2/13/2020
