Purpose

This discussion provides you an opportunity to consider what the American people think about some aspect of American politics, and to further consider whether or not you believe the measure of public opinion is likely accurate.

Directions

Find a poll on an issue in politics. Maybe it's a poll on support for the President, or for Congress, or for any particular policy issue. Do you feel it accurately captures the population’s opinion? Why or why not? Consider, in particular, sections 5.1 and 5.2 of Chapter 5.
Your first post should consist of at least two "meaty" paragraphs, with numerous sentences. Make sure your grammar and spelling are ready for prime-time!
