How to make a perfect presentation

How to make a perfect presentation

The title slide is basically one of the most important parts of a presentation for a presenter. Before the presentation starts, title slides are usually displayed to prepare the audience for the presentation so they must be at the best level to create interest and curiosity. Relevancy is a part that every presenter must include in the title slide (Bowden, 2013). Keeping the audience at the start of the presentation makes the audience connected and ready to listen. Creating a curiosity in the minds of the audience is also a way of capturing their minds and they pay attention to the presentation. Having a question in terms of what the presentation will about create some level of suspense which in turn makes the audience more engaged.

Making a title very long is a temptation that most presenters face while designing a title page. The audience needs to be captured by the first thing they see on the title page. In every 10 people who see the title page, only less than 1 will be interested to listen to the rest of the details if the title is too long (Bowden, 2013).  Repetition of words on the title page is also very dangerous since it could even make the present audience leave until the presenter has no audience.

In cases where a team member has left part of the presentation at home, one could engage the audience in asking questions which will allow them to start contributing to the topic of the day. Through this process, one is able to gather some thoughts on what the presentation is all about. Use of examples from real life situations is a perfect way to gain the momentum for the presentation. Real examples from experience are the best in such times since they do not need prior preparation.
