Human resource social platform policies

Human resource social platform policies

Technology is one of the major advancements that have created an impact in many fields of an organization. Such advancements have both advantages and disadvantages which ought to be looked into to prevent employees and employers from using the devices and network access to harm other colleagues. The capability to access and share information with friends on a social platform should always be kept clean and guidelines followed. Social media is one of the major platforms where a person can either be made or ruined for the rest of their lives (Elmaghraby & Losavio, 2014). In the workplace, employees should always observe what kind of information they are spreading since such information could land an employee jobless and even jail time. Maintaining a good image of the company is vital. Professional ethics require that employees do not use the name of the organization to their advantage but should use it for the benefit of the members and the organization in general.

Company vital data should not be shared over the internet and violating such rules could lead to dismissal of the involved party. Harassment is also a key topic in the workplace. Individuals should not harass each other either on the basis of gender, age, religion or any other means (Aral et al., 2013). Individuals especially those in the information technology department should refrain from sharing and allowing access by unauthorized persons into organization network. Sharing organization data on social media could harm the organization and even lead to the closure of the business meaning employees should observe privacy with organization data at all times. Failure to follow such guidelines will amount to a violation of the company rules and regulations and this can cause the involved members be dismissed with immediate effect including being prosecuted.
