- Unity community center praise dancers
- Unity Community Center was founded about 40 years ago in various churches of New Jersey. UCC praise dance ministry was established on September of 1998 by Wanda Dickerson (Johnson, 2010). UCC is a channel that passes the gospel through music and dancing (Johnson, 2010). The group helps to discover young talents of gospel music in the society. UCC ministry offers academic assistance to those who are less privileged in the society. Pastor Parker Camden is the one who sponsors the UCC dancing group. The group performs inspirational gospels done by other professionals. UCC has won quit a number of prizes through their dancing performances (Johnson, 2010).
- UCC dancers are comprised of adult and kids who perform dancing in various social occasions. The kids dancing group referred to as, “Tiny Tots” perform in the in various social occasions as role models to the American Youths (Johnson, 2010). The group performs dance that encourages and transforms the life of many citizens in America. UCC have also engaged in the community service performing cleaning duties and other corporate responsibilities since it was established. UCC performs their dancing all over the world through the help of sponsorships they receive from well wishers (Johnson, 2010).
- UCC dancers won a fabulous prize when they participated in a Gospel Fest in, “New York”. The group was congratulated by many gospel artists, and they got considerable publicity through ABC Television. UCC has performed in various occasions accompanied by appreciable gospel musicians like the Ward Sisters. Performing dancing with recognized musicians is viewed as a great honor in America. UCC dancing group has performed memorable events in Africa, for example, during the crowning of, “Miss Black USA”, which took place in Gambia (Johnson, 2010).
