  •             Brazil Amazon holds one of the world’s largest tropical forests. According to the ministry of environment in Brazil, the country lost 128,000 square kilometers of land to deforestation. This occurred between years 1980-1995. Most of the issue that caused the deforestation includes the agricultural development and illegal logging of trees. Another main cause of deforestation is ranching, which is one of the economic activities in most of the communities in Brazil. The parts of the physical environment are related to each other because of the economic growth and poverty alleviation that they tend to bring to the society. Parts of the physical environments that include for example landscape and structures have significant importance to the common person and therefore cause much impact when affected due to deforestation.

Some of the main activities related to deforestation include cutting the trees to enlarge ranching areas and for economic advantages like burning charcoals and for timber. This is because; members of the society get the highest percentage of their living from the forests. The government also offers a contribution in the deforestation of the forest from the operations made by some of the politicians.

This is because the government also has a lot of high demand on trees and these results to more acts of deforestation in the Amazon forest. The main policy on the issue of deforestation is about the tax incentive system. The other regulations include the rules if land allocation that depicts much arguments in the whole of Brazil. Moreover, the other policies related to the issue of deforestation in Brazil are about the agriculture credit system. These policies result to economic distortions that end up harming the environment in a more way opposite to the initial reason for creating the rules. The policies injure the environment because of the high demand for pasture and ranch. The policies also result to most of the poor families failing to become farmers because most of the land is used for ranching and tend to be damaged because of deforestation. The Brazilian government is trying to amend the rules in order to come-up with other rules and regulations that will be more effective and reduce degradation process in Brazil.

One of the importances of the fiscal subsidies is that they would help the poor farmers in working on large farms for commercial activities. Because of this issue, most of the poor farmers result in activities of deforestation in order to meet their daily benefits that end-up causing more harm to the future economic status of the country. The other challenge in the Brazilian government is lack of laws and regulation that ought to prohibit the act of cutting down trees in most of the tropical forests.

This will be employed by issuing of restrictive rules and regulations in order to curb more harm on the forests. While issuing the rules, most of the economic growth will be uplifted. However, the lazy persons, who benefit from deforestation, will feel the effect of natural protection. The fact that most of the Brazilians make their living from deforestation contributes in making the government efforts very hard to cause any effects. Many residents in these areas find it difficult to comply with the government’s laws and regulations.

Some of the Politicians in the local levels benefit from the operations of deforestation and therefore make it hard for the government to implement laws relating to providing proficient environmental reforms.
