Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer:
Paper Instructions:
Write a short essay in which you respond to the following question cluster:
Imagine you are a time-travelling journalist who has transported yourself back to ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, or Phoenicia to research a story. Where (and when!) would you go? (For example—Sumer during the Akkadian Empire period, a small Egyptian village during the Middle Kingdom period, Jerusalem in the time of King Solomon). What topic or event or person would you like to write about? Who would you want to interview for the story and what would you hope to learn from them? Besides interviews, what other sources of information would you want to use?
Your essay must be typed, double-spaced, in 12-point Times-New Roman, Calibri, or another standard font. It must be a minimum of 350 words in length. Write in complete sentences arranged in paragraphs. You will be graded on both content and style.
Use your imagination, but base your work on accurate historical information--- for example, don’t have Hitler living in ancient Egypt or describe people in ancient Ur driving cars or using cell phones.
