Summarize and analyze what these historical dramas tell us about the Civil Rights Movement (CRM), Black women, and race/gender relations in the CRM and the United States. Explain what impact, if any, the women studied in class had on the Movement. How do these women and the study of these women relate to the broader issues of Black Women’s Studies. Make connections to the other readings done in class, include specific references to the additional reading you selected.

Footnote as appropriate. The bibliography (in Chicago format) should include the film you selected, the textbook, and any readings referenced. You don’t have to use outside sources but if you do, include them as well. Do not use online encyclopedias. You can find examples of the Chicago format on line also. Here are two helpful sites:  http://www.citationmachine.net/chicago and Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition // Purdue Writing Lab.

Your paper should be 3 pages not including the bibliography page. (3 full pages not, 2 and a little bit on the 3rd page).
