Review the FindLaw Website, focusing specifically on the doctrine of stare decisis. Be prepared to discuss.  Note: Enter the Website and in the search box enter “stare decisis case”. Select three of the results for insight on the concept of stare decisis. Be prepared to discuss.
Review the case National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius. Be prepared to discuss.
Review the case Maureen Massey v. Joanne Mandell. Be prepared to discuss. 
Several states challenged the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (2010) mandate to purchase health insurance. These challenges were met by a strong government response. In 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a 5 to 4 decision that the mandate to purchase was constitutional. From the second e-Activity, review the opinion in the case and explain the Court’s rationale for upholding the mandate

In the case, Maureen Massey v. Joanne Mandell, at issue is the claim that the trial court had erred in denying their motion to change venue. From the third e-Activity, create an example in which several aspects of a case may reside in separate jurisdictions, and explain which should be the appropriate venue and why.
