Term Paper Requirements
1 term paper (50%: MS Word, Paper requirements are as follows: 15 pages, Double spaced, 12 point type, & 1 inch margins. As noted students are allowed to write on topics we cover but are encouraged to do their own thinking and investigate areas of interest to them. If a student wants to write on a topic completely different from what was covered in class, prior discussion with instructor is encouraged before the student begins work on the paper. The term paper should follow general term paper outlines and requirements below. It should be the student’s original work. The paper should focus on and discusses law as it now pertains to an aspect of what we covered in class or a proposed law or regulation about food.

• Should follow general requirements of a term paper
• You should focus on a topic related to food law and regulation
• The coverage can be more theoretical and broad than the power point which is designed to be more practical

Be sure to mention people who want raw milk and how the fda views it--great example of federalism--fda doesn't want raw milk but states (a few) do.
