Tax policies of the U.S. Presidential candidates

Questions We Can Help You To Answer

Paper instructions:

Tax policies of the U.S. Presidential candidates - Discussion Forum

Directions:

The 2016 U.S. Presidential campaigns are already in full-swing. Many of these candidates like to talk but not all of them have released actual policies which they support. This assignment will be an effort to separate one candidate from another and consider both sides of their proposed policies.

Post your responses to the following issues in the U.S. Presidential candidates discussion forum:
1.    Identify and explain two tax policies proposed by the candidate of your choice. S/he can be from any party but s/he has to have proposed at least two tax policies for you to find.
2.    For each of the two policies, you need to explain one benefit of the policy and one cost of the policy.
3.

Purpose:

A great deal of rhetoric is published by these candidates - some is good, some is not. Whether you support the candidate you choose or do not, an educated person should consider the good and bad aspects of policies proposed by these people who are aspiring to one of the most powerful positions in the world.

Grading:

I will participate in the discussion several times a week, but I will not respond to every posting. Rather, I will highlight or summarize key points in the discussion, stimulate additional discussion if needed, correct significant errors as necessary, and monitor and enforce our netiquette rules. I will grade your discussion postings a week after the due date and will post your grade in My Grades (in the Tools button), with suggestions or accolades if the quality of your work is particularly lower or higher than expected.
