The transformation has been destroying sovereignty causing a huge blow to the democracy of citizens. Consumerism causes the withdrawal of national autonomy on various important issues. The manner in which citizens can handle violence is affected by lack of national autonomy due to consumerism.
  •             Consumerism results to failure in implementing binding laws of the State. Democracy of the people disappears when power to enact the implemented laws is not applied. Benjamin Barber states that consumerism encourages consumers to behave in a negative way to the State’s orders concerning the market. Consumerism results to a barrier of customers getting commodities from the market. The market encourages private fundamental choices that are against the will of consumers. The privatization of the fundamental choices results in determining the market’s final social outcome that makes people to suffer.
  •             Consumerism affects the society as a result of disagreement on critical issues concerning the market by the people. Members of the society tend to disagree when there are no conspirators in the society. Consumerism in the society generates a negative thinking on issues regarding the market. Consumers develop a bad attitude concerning the market due to the degradation of the society’s moral conduct. The spiritual framework of the society is negatively affected as a result of consumerism. Consumerism also results to consumer capitalism that encourages a number of citizens to indulge in unacceptable behaviors. Many of the practices that are as a result of consumerism end up causing negative environmental health in the society.
  •             The unhappiness taboo connected to consumerism according to Bruce Levine is turning away from the wisdom that is derived from history. Bruce Levin states that consumerism results to weak mental health due to the depression it results to the citizens. Bruce Levin also states that consumerism is a consequence of people’s self interest in order to gain financial power. As a result of the negative impact of consumerism, Bruce Levin opposes on how people depend much on technology.
  •             According to Bruce Levin, depending much on technology results in citizens forgetting the State’s culture values. The society gets to accept technology as the supreme value of the traditional culture. When people depend much on technology they end up believing that everything ought to be done through technology. The outcome of technology dependence result to psychological breakdown to the citizens. Bruce Levin says that much dependence of technology makes people feel powerless because of depression. He also states that the society takes little time in assessing the core value. In his equation, Bruce Levin concludes by stating that depending much on technology result to meaningless life as a result of depression.

According to Bruce Levin, consumerism has resulted to a fundamental that state that people should be happy or either attempt to be happy. Depending much on technology has resulted to weakness in people’s life and this is a significant illness to the society. Consumerism has affected the American Culture in a manner that citizens try to get happiness and the sellers tend to appear happy in the services they offer.
  •             There are several contradictions of active euthanasia and passive euthanasia. Active euthanasia simply means killing while passive euthanasia means allowing a person to die. In active euthanasia, a person’s life is ended by direct causes like human intensions. An example active euthanasia is when a person shoots another one resulting to death. Deaths that occur as a result of uncontrolled calamities like lightening and floods are also referred to as active euthanasia. Another issue that reflects active euthanasia is when a patient is injected with a drug that kills or is removed from life saving machines. Active euthanasia implies even when the patient is the one giving the order of the life to be taken away.
  •             On contrary to active euthanasia, the act of permitting death to occur is referred to as passive euthanasia and is known to be painful. Passive euthanasia result to a decision made by people who are close to the affected. An example of such a case is when a person is sick and the disease is incurable. The two of the euthanasia’s has moral differences in the society and promotes a huge debate. Passive euthanasia is in most cases permitted while active euthanasia is totally forbidden. In medical profession, active euthanasia may occur indirectly with the intension of saving a patient from terrible pain. For example, when a patient is in terrible pain because of throat cancer that will end up killing him or her, a doctor may decide to withhold the treatment.
  •             Active euthanasia is not acceptable in the society and some citizens view this as acting against the State’s law. Everyone has the right to live according to the states law. The main reason for some people being against active euthanasia is because the act is against the law of God. Morally, it is not permitted to end a patient’s life or any other person’s life. Active euthanasia is not acceptable by some people because by allowing it, many citizens may end up committing this form of suicide. A number of patients may end up losing their life because of social or political differences. Some doctors may end up taking away life of patients for financial gain and this is another reason against active euthanasia.
  •             Jane English advocates that abortion ought never to happen at all costs. The main reason why Jane is against abortion is because it is against moral psychology. The other reason why Jane opposes abortion is that she believes the issue ought not be utilitarianism but a decision with reasonable facts be made. Jane English state that a human being is cluster concept meaning that abortion should not take place even if the nation of personhood is not yet confirmed. She also argues that the unborn has a life because it ends up becoming a person. Jane states that a fetus is innocent and ought to be protected from any harm.
  •             Jane English argues that even if the fetus is not a human being, it is morally wrong to cause its death. She states that if the act of aborting fetus, whether the nation of personhood is precise or not continues, human beings would be considered unfair in treating others. Jane strengthens her points by stating that philosophers should not mislead citizens by providing wrong information that fetus is not a person. Jane points out that aborting an infant is against God’s law and the society’s cultural values.
  •             Jane English states that the central issue concerning abortion should not politicized. The main agenda should be it is illegal to kill. She argues that even though fetuses lack general characteristics of a person, there is no right to legalize abortion. Jane continues to argue that it is not right to legalize abortion on the fact that typical features of a person have not established. Jane also states that abortion should only take place due to serious reason like self-defense. She supports the fact by stating that a woman may take abortion to secure her life when in danger.
  •             Don Marquis argues that it is ethically wrong to commit abortion in exception of reasonable facts that should be outlined by a doctor. He also states that abortion getting rid of a life that has the right to live. Marquis opposes abortion by stating that a fetus has a life and he is against those who support abortion. He also argues that abortion is intentionally getting rid of a life that is totally innocent. Marquis also point out that abortion may take place in some cases, for example, when a mother is in danger. He also states that abortion may take place when the pregnancy is a consequence of rape.
  •             Another principal argument that Don Marquis points out is that losing a fetus is the same as losing the life of an adult. He also states that it is morally wrong to loss the future of a fetus who may become a successful person in days to come. Marquis states that even though a fetus cannot explain whether it has a will to live, it is not acceptable to commit abortion. On his arguments, Marquis states that abortion is violating one of the precious human rights and it should not take place. He points out that when a woman engages in sexual activity willingly, there is nothing that can justify the pregnancy is unwanted. Marquis strengthen his arguments by stating that it is a criminal act to abort and those involved should face dire punishment.
