  •             Ford Motor Company is an international organization that deals with manufacture of vehicles. The company has over 360,000 employees worldwide. The company operates in over 30 countries globally and has 110 manufacturing facilities. In order for the Company to achieve its set strategic goals, the top officials have decided to make a change in the management system. The company has decided to establish a new business program in order to provide the required leadership program. The company believes that the best asset that offers the greatest contribution in running of all the operations is its employees. Therefore, the company has established a strategy to utilize the talent of having competent employees who have the ability of giving the best results. The company needs to concentrate most of its change in the management system and on the brands that will help it to make a difference in the competitive market. The company has an obligation of making the following changes in its management structure (Hughes-Cromwick, 2011).
  • Change in Leadership Management
  •             The company wants to make a prompt change in the leadership sector by introducing a new business program. The program will help the company in providing growth of more than 2000 future leaders. In order to provide the excepted change in the leadership sector, the company has combined both the internal and external resources to offer an innovate approach that will help in gaining the best outcomes at the end of every financial year. The company has managed to identify a innovative approach known as Quantum Idea Project (Morris, 2002).
  •             Through the project, the company intends to make a drastic and revolutionary change in the leadership sector. The first phase of the change in leadership management entails that the company requires all the managers to make various quantum ideas that should help the company in making positive transformation. The transformation should reflect on manufacturing the best automotive products and services while using the lowest production cost possible.
  •             The second phase in the change of leadership management in the company entails that the company has to employ new business leaders. The leaders will have an obligation of assisting the company in forming cross-functional teams. One of the roles that the teams will be entitled to perform is move their ideas developed by the managers into actions that will make the company gain more financial benefits. In order to make sure that this particular phase is implemented, the top officials in the company has an obligation of holding various learning sessions that will guide all the managers on how to react in every situation during their operation duties at the company. All the managers in various departments of the organization are to participate in the learning sessions in order to gain the new leading structure (Hughes-Cromwick, 2011).
  •             The final phase depicting change in the management of the company entails that all the new and existing managers should participate in a more than forty hours training period. During the course of the training period, the managers will be eligible of finding out an implementing project that the company should use in developing a reliable operating and manufacturing strategy. The company has an obligation of providing a computerized system that will aid the designing process in production. The company will also be able to provide standardized facilities that aid the production process. Some of the standardized facilities include use of robots to install the engines and camshafts of various vehicles during the production process. These facilities help in reducing the total production cost. The company also has an obligation of providing more tools and techniques to all manufacturing departments. The other change that the company requires in order to make a considerable outcome is making sure that all the require raw materials are available at the right time (Hughes-Cromwick, 2011).
  •             The other change that the company intends to make in the Production management is providing the required support in the non-manufacturing areas. Some of these areas include engineering, Designing. Another non-manufacturing area that the company intends to support includes the marketing department. The company has a main obligation in developing various strategies that will help it in enlarging the marketing area. This means that through the production management, the company has an obligation of identifying various ways of and methods of advertising its products in order to make sure that many customers start using its products. Enhancing the production department in producing quality goods will make more customers to be interested with the company and therefore increase the financial income. After making various changes in the production management, the company has an opportunity of improving its mechanisms.
  • Change in Human Resource management
  •             The company intends to make strategic changes in the human resource management. According to the structure of the company, human resource depicts to hold the back born of the company. There are many responsibilities associated with this department that depict to of much importance to the company. One of the responsibilities that the organization will accomplish through the help of a competent human resource is increase in volume of all the products. The company intends to change the whole structure of the human resource in order to create a strong relationship with the all the employees (Morris, 2002).
  •             Change in human resource means that the company will employ managers who will be able to organize all the operations of the company. The managers will also be entitled to set proper planning mechanism that will help the company meet its targeted goals. Through providing better human resource management, the company will be able to have reliable managers capable of controlling all the employees and other operations in the company. The managers will also be eligible to undertake all the responsibilities that the company will encounter while on its daily operating activities.
  • Advantages of the changes
  •             The company will acquire several advantages after making the above changes. Some of the advantages that the company will manage to acquire include production of quality products. The significance changes in the management of the company will ensure that there is quality in the manufacturing fields (Moll, 2003). Many of the automotive product customers tend to concentrate in finding products only from companies that have a history of making quality products. Change in the management will help the company in meeting the requirements of the market and be able to outdo other competitors.
  •             The company will have an advantage of meeting the market demands after making a change in the management. The ability to meet the market demands will be contributed by the fact that workers will be able to offer the recommended contribution through the help of better management. Change in the management to the new one will lead the company in making efficient work. After making the recommended changes, the company will be able to create a strong relationship with the employees (Moll, 2003).
  • Disadvantages of the changes
  •             The changes in Ford Motors will result in some of the employees to lose their jobs. In order for the company to make effective change in the management, it will be required to retrench some of the managers. The mangers to be retrenched are the ne who have not indicated any signs of progression for a specific period. The other disadvantage is that the company will take some time to cope with the new changes. Most of the new employers may take some time to understand the daily operations of the company. Another disadvantage that the new management in the company will encounter is that it will fail to achieve the targeted within a specific period after the change in management because the new employs will not have managed to cope with the requirements of all the operations (Moll, 2003).
