This is an unusual twist for a research paper but the approach should help you with the time pressure I’m sure you are all experiencing. Ordinarily you are given a title (or you select one) and you proceed with secondary research; then you compile and present your results in a “research paper.”  In this assignment, the secondary research has been done for you.  The three articles are in your course pack.  Your task is to read the three articles and decide on the story they tell.  Based upon the story you craft, you then must complete the following title:

“Competitive Advantage: …

In this assignment you are to explain the theory being explored in the articles and then assess its usefulness for practicing managers.  Your assessment must adopt the analytical perspective of a manager.  In other words, view practicing managers as the audience for your paper.  

Do not attempt to write the paper if you haven’t read the MBA style guide.  If you are directed to use APA, any paper written in conformance with the aforementioned style guide will conform to APA 6th edition.
