"Promise and Peril" is a theme that runs throughout the history of technology.  Many technologies give out hope (promise) that they will make the world a better place.  Alternatively, some technologies seem to threaten us (peril) in one way or another.  Of the technologies discussed in the Week 3 Readings, which one provides or promises the highest equal amount of promise and peril. Make your argument with reference to a technology that you argue is mostly good, and to a technology that you argue is mostly bad.
