Listen to the presentation below and review the website resources to understand how comparable experience in a supply chain organization develops cross-functional team strategy to increase speed in responding to the market, deal with more complex issues, build an organization-wide common focus on the customer and facilitate organizational learning. As you listen to the presentation, note the 10 factors that build the success of cross-functional teams and adds the importance of synergy and collaborative decision-making. 

Deliverables:  


·      7 slide Power Point Presentation

·      The post project for this lesson is required to be a minimum of 750 words in addition to the Power Point Presentation that clearly demonstrate your understanding of the activity. Post project essays should have a clear introduction, thesis statement and conclusion, written in APA format (APAstyle.org). A minimum of three sources, at least two from the lesson, must be cited in-text and in the Reference list.  

·      Both the 7 slide Presentation and the Essay must be submitted as a single document. With the presentation embedded in the document. Step 2: Expand your internet search for supporting resources and respond to the following questions: 



How would you define quality and how is quality measured in a company or industry? 

What service or production activities are subject to external mitigation and impact supply chain processes? 

Identify the services activities that affect quality for customers, and relate these to the concepts of upstream and downstream processes. How are they subject to and those that cannot be controlled. How does the company resolve external factors that impact quality? 

What methods or process improvement strategies might you consider improving service or production operation?  



Step 3: Write a paper. 

Summarize the findings of your research in 750-word paper, multi-paragraph and a 7-slide presentation to be turned in for grading. Your paper should not be the same content as the slides but should elaborate upon what you learned about of one of the selected topics outlined and demonstrate how these three processes in an organization are integrated and merged to create a complete cross-functional system. Prepare your slide to highlight the key aspects of your analysis. Make sure you use case study examples of businesses that demonstrate these practices.
