In defining the scope of your paper, you should think about a specific angle or issue that you want to explore. For example, here are some questions you may want to consider (***NOTE: you do not need to address all of these questions):

•    Why do victims and perpetrators of crimes seek forgiveness? What are the moral and emotional obstacles one (or a collective body) must confront in offering and asking for forgiveness? 
•    What conditions must be met to make the process of forgiveness and reconciliation meaningful? What are the demands of forgiveness and reconciliation that make it a difficult and rigorous process? 
•    What are the benefits of forgiveness and restorative justice? What are the limits of forgiveness and restorative justice?
