LITERATURE REVIEW PAPER INSTRUCTIONS For the current assignment, you will write a comprehensive literature review paper that uses empirical research to summarize and synthesize the existing body of scientific knowledge on the topic that you have been developing throughout the term. Topic: Impact of Medical Marijuana Treatments on Adults with Epilepsy 1. Include a title page, references page, and 5–7 pages of expository content. a. Your references page should include the bibliographic information of 10–12 primary, peer-reviewed research articles you used to build your paper’s rationale. b. Though not required, you also may utilize no more than 3 secondary sources (e.g., the Bible, the textbook, scholarly books, or other published literature review papers). 2. In the introduction of your paper, state the purpose of your paper, summarize the main points of your argument, explain why your topic is interesting or useful, and present your thesis statement. 3. In the body of your paper, present your argument in support of your thesis statement. a. Your argument should have at least 3 major points, and each major point should have at least 3 supporting facts to substantiate it. b. The supporting facts will be taken from the primary, peer-reviewed journal articles that you have read. Include specific details from each study you cite that help explain the supporting facts to your reader (e.g., research design, participant characteristics, relevant measures, main findings and interpretations). c. Be sure to synthesize the findings into a coherent narrative. Use transition statements as you move from one main idea to the next. 4. In the conclusion of your paper, restate your thesis and summarize your analysis. Then using sсrіptural support, discuss the implications of your thesis for a Christian worldview as they relate to: a. causes, b. assessment, c. and treatment of the disease/disorder that is the focus of your paper. 5. Avoid first and second person pronouns, and be sure to use past tense when describing completed research. 6. Use concise language, organize your ideas logically, and utilize appropriate, graduate-level grammar, diction and punctuation. 7. Use a standard, university-approved font, double spacing, and 1” margins. 8. Adhere to all current APA formatting guidelines.
