Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is an ever evolving topic that has captured the attention of most people across the world. This is because artificial intelligence combines automation with robotics. Automation and robotics enables the imitation or replication of human intelligence within machines (Duan et al., 2019). Machines are then programmed to imitate human actions and movements. The term artificial intelligence can be used to describe automated machines with human-like capabilities such as solving complex challenges and acquiring knowledge. One of the most idealistic feature of artificial intelligence is its capability to rationalize and attain certain objectives.

Captivating Aspect of Artificial Intelligence

Automated machines can carry out tasks better than human beings can. For instance, unlike humans, automated machines can work tirelessly and complete simple to complicated tasks. Some of the objectives of artificial intelligence are learning, cognitive and insight. With advancement of technology machines are programmed with multi-disciplinary approaches such as mathematics, software engineering, language social studies. It is important to note that algorithms play a central role in structuring the functions of automated machines. Thus, the algorithms facilitate the integration of computer systems into automated machines. In terms of speed and precision, artificial intelligence is better than humans. Besides, artificial intelligence is devoid of emotions and can increase its pace based on the needs of the organization.  However some people claim that companies might take advantage of artificial intelligence to push forward illegal under dealings and illegal activities.

Human beings are at the brink of evolutions. Some conspiracy theorists claim that through artificial intelligence human will become immortal because they can transfer their personal data into computer systems. As time goes by, artificial intelligence will take over most of the important jobs and tasks and displace humans from some well-known positions. Interestingly, artificial intelligence will displace human duties and replace some basic tasks such as managerial positions and manual jobs. The agility and flexibility of artificial intelligence has proved that human evolution can be in the form of machines and the replication of human lifestyles through machines.

Presently, self-driving cars and self-operated malls have proved that human beings are at the brink of extinction (Jarrahi, 2018). The extensive use of artificial intelligence has given humans time to effectively use their time relaxing and taking care of their families. Therefore, artificial intelligence will change the lifestyles of human beings and restructure parental roles and duties. On the government side, government are formulating policies to help in developing frameworks that will facilitate humans and machines to coexist in the work place. According to most experts, humans will have to coexist with automated machines.

In addition, machines will create more jobs such as taking care of the machines and also rectifying the mistakes the machines make while handling tasks within workshops. Besides the reshaping of the industrial practices, humans found the genuine and innovations which are supposed to take human civilizations to another level (Jarrahi, 2018). Even though automation will replace most of the human task, automation cannot take low skilled jobs and high level skills. This implies that middle leveled jobs will be eliminated in the future. Middle levels jobs can be easily automated due to the relevance and straightforward nature needed to perform and systematically complete. In some states, the government have already introduced policies to regulate the penetration of artificial intelligence. Hence the eminent rise of the machine will be an exciting transitional period.
