Instructions on Article Review on Theory and Etiology of Addictions    
    Counselors in both clinical and school settings often encounter clients or students who struggle with an addiction.  Typically the addictions are either with a substance such as a drug or certain type of food or with a habit such as shopping or watching pornography.  
For this article review:  Use the UWA library databases to find a scholarly article about an addiction that you have interest in and use the template provided to submit an article review.  You should look for an article that specifically has discussion about theory and etiology with the addiction – what is it all about and what causes or influences it. The article should also provide some discussion on strategies that can help with prevention, intervention, or treatment (one, two, or all three of these).  In your review, you will have a description of the article and three sections:
    Description of the specific addiction per the article
    Description of the theory about the specific addiction per the article
    Description of the etiology the specific addiction per the article
    Description of a strategy for prevention, intervention, and/or treatment with the specific addiction.
This paper must include the article sent and must have in text citations.
