He was a German engineer and initiated the principle of magnetic levitation. He is considered as the inventor of the basic maglev principle (Livingston, 196). He began his research on the principle of magnetic levitation in 1922. Hermann Kemper is said to have succeeded in 1933 when he succeeded in experimenting electromagnetic attraction using the concept of a floating vehicle (Livingston, 196).
