For functionalism perspective, it focuses on the adaptive aspect of the society which relates to the relationship between parts of the society (Brent &amp; Lewis, 2014). The interaction the student and the teacher help in conveying academic knowledge through symbols such as books that are understood well by both. The teacher also takes up the duty of explaining some of the text to the student by use of a simple language that can be well understood by all.
