Introduction:
• Should be at least 100 words.
• Have an attention grabber opener that piques the interest of the reader.
• Have a clear, focused thesis that guides the reader through your essay.
Body Paragraph(s):
• Have a topic sentence that introduces your body paragraph and is an opinion not fact.
• Use quotes, data, and other details from research to illustrate your points.
• Effectively introduce quotations using the “quote sandwich.” Avoid dangling quotes.
• Use at least 1 quote sandwich in the body paragraph.
• Thoroughly explain your evidence with lengthy explanations (A of TEA) that connect back to your thesis and support your argument.
• Should be at least 400 words.
Conclusion:
