Paper Outline: at least 1500 words (4-5 pages), not including works cited page and title or citations.
The paper is on the art work: Bust of Nefertiti, Tel el Amarna Period, Egypt, c. 1345 BCE; Neues Museum, Berlin Germany.

1. The definition of repatriation: Which I have here is:
Art and Cultural Homeland. When one refers to repatriation, it is the returning of historical art and/or historical artifacts back to the homeland of the art's origin. Cultural heritage can also be referred to repatriation as one can return the cultural heritage back to the origin of the culture to keep the identity intact.

2. A brief description of the history of the Bust of Nefertiti and an explanation of how the Bust of Nefertiti arrived where it is currently housed

3. A review of the arguments for and against repatriation of the Bust of Nefertiti: both from the standpoint of the two parties involved, as well as any extenuating/relevant cultural, political, historical, economic, and ethical concerns of circumstances

4. A well-reasoned opinion supported by research: Do you think the Bust of Nefertiti should be repatriated? Why or why not? (Be sure to address why the other side of the argument is not as compelling to you.)
Here is what I started with for my thesis:
The ancient bust of Queen Nefertiti must be repatriated to Egypt as it is her rightful home. Egypt has lost many artifacts to museums, collections, and in other ways; therefore, Egypt faces a dilemma of losing their beautiful belongings. As Queen Nefertiti is one of ancient history's great beauties, it should be returned to Egypt to define its cultural heritage as this leads to legal as well as cultural issues. The unjust enrichment in which states that the bust has to return to Egypt due to the invalid transfer of a cultural property to the German Oriental Society.
