Simplicity

Simplicity

Simplicity denotes clarity, beauty or purity. This means that they are not complicated and they are easy to understand. It portrays straightforwardness, candor, and guilelessness and is free from duplicity (Mounce, 2). Eva Cassidy has expressed simplicity in the song named Danny Boy. To begin with, she has absolutely an amazing voice that can absolutely stun anyone. Her voice creates admiration as she has an astounding talent (Cassidy, 2-3). Her voice is something to write about.  She is a specially gifted singer as her voice could evoke many memories and thoughts due to the capability of her voice to transport words filled with emotions and weight. Her voice is magical as one cannot listen without shedding a tear. Eva can sing as she is able to express her words well with her attractive voice.

Deanna Durbin has an amazing voice which makes her outstanding. Her beauty s also overwhelming will is the first sight of attraction. Her heartfelt version of Danny boy can bring tears to the eyes. She sings devotedly as she is seen to be tearing up as she sings it (Durbin, 1-2:50). She articulates the song so well which makes it perfect for a woman to perform. She gives the song a beautiful rendition due to her lovely voice. Her performance is satisfactory in all ways as she has a lovely expressive voice combined with a beautiful voice and a truly heartfelt performance. This makes her song version the loveliest.  She also shows great efforts as she is able to hit the high ends well without a struggle.

Elvis Presley is an absolutely outstanding interpretation of Danny boy. He makes the version beautiful by turning it into a classic song. This makes the song great and wonderful (Presley, 2:50-3:30). He also transforms the song to be an exquisite clip that is simply astounding. This shows how magical a song can be by just changing the tone. Elvis is able to make the song beautiful and entertaining by using a different channel.

Therefore for the three performances it is true to say that Eva Cassidy outperforms all the other performances as she is able to evoke emotions which are difficult to achieve. Eva is able to achieve a thriller performance due to her capability of using stylistic devices (Schiffrin et al, 295). A smile can attract, create attention, and can also be descriptive (Cassidy, 3-4). She has also been able to use metaphors, synecdoche, metonymy, charactonym and imagery effects that have evoked a sensory detail about the song. Her sound technique is also at par as she has the rhyme, alliteration, assonance, consonance and rhythm which have helped her frame the story so well.

The stylistic musical embellishment has been used in the Danny Boy song by Eva to enhance the intention of the message. The use of the stylistic embellishment has created awareness because they can also be used to create dishonest figures (Mendelson, 276). This shows that the graphics are used along with the recommendation so long as the users and the designers are aware of the limitations. The process of using the embellishment involves the identification of the purpose, the analysis of the data and the application of the techniques to be used for manipulation and enhance the representation. These stylistic embellishments to create a powerful emotional impact which facilitates the audience recall and retain the information and the concepts (Mendelson, 278).
